reading back on my journal, i see its the same cycle again. and i am the one that went back to him only this time he is in my home. he lost his place, job everything and i took him back. i see now that getting sober does not change the persons character it just makes them even harder to deal with. he has not hit me thank god.

and he better not hit you either the first sign he gives you of that kick his butt out,yes and he will become harder and harder to deal with.Hugs hun Kim
you are enabeling him...I hope you see that your life can turn around..with change...he needs to address his issues without you..hope you can be strong...life can be so much richer...you deserve better...habit is hard to break! as is co-dependency. xo serenity55
You are definetly right, you CAN\'T change a person. It sucks sometimes. My mother once told me, if you look at the person your with, ask yourself, \"could I spend the rest of my life with this person the way they are right now, without changing anything about them\" Noone is perfect, there will always be at least 1 thing you\'d like to change about someone, but can you live with it the rest of your life? Thats what you need to ask yourself. I would love hear of you being with someone and thanking god that you are happy, not thanking god because you haven\'t been hit. You are BEAUTIFUL inside and out, and you have alot to offer, to someone who is worthy of it. xoxo, hang in there, moonstar:)
I am so sorry that you are going through this all over again. He had better not lay a hand on you. You deserve so much more than he wants to give. Please take care of you and I\'m here a lot if you need to talk.
