MISERY LOVES COMPANY. I really don't like to spread the negative, but maybe someone can benefit from one of my stories. Back in February of 2005, went on a shopping spree at a nice mall in Traverse City, Michigan. My mind was set on buy my man a nice leather belt, buckle, watch and wallet ever. So, me and my dreamy self drove 30 mile through the freezing, snowy weather to make my bf birthday a good one. Well, during the day he wouldn't answer his cell, which usually means that he is drinking, after all it was his birthday. That evening I met him at a restaurant for dinner, and he was absolutely smashed. He got mad at me cause he did not know where I had been during the day. So, he wound up leaving me at the restaurant, without a car, money or a way home. This place was out in the boondocks of Michigan. NO taxi's. So, a nice man offered to drive me home otherwise the bartender would take me home after close. Anyway, i was scared to death, but the man was very nice and dropped me off across from the apartment. When I walked in the room, my ex grabbed me by the neck and slammed me against the back of the door. I won't go into detail, but i slept under the bed for my protection and the next morning, he "didn't remember" anything. All he said was, where were you yesterday? I said, i was at the mall buying you your b-day gifts. After a while, i got up and gave him the gifts, he was speechless, he said, no one has ever given me anything, i am always the one giving. We never talked about his beating. When he would see the brusies he would say, where'd you get that...we never talked about most of the beatings. we just went on as usual. These are the memories that i need to keep for my own protection and to make good decisions. Please keep praying for me.
