home again
We are back home. We loved our time with Cevyn and we even had dinner with her dad and step mom and had a nice time.
On Wednesday evening, we had dinner with one of Lisa's best friends. We were going to stay at her house but she lives at the lake and the roads can be treacherous. Nancy and Lisa worked closely for a few years. Nancy was the nursing manager and Lisa was the office manager for a Home Care Agency. They worked hard and laughed a lot. It was a sad day when St. Elizabeth's decided to close their office. Nancy had a dream that they would open a nurse run clinic. She got her degree and did her post grad Nurse Practioner certificate and opened the office after Lisa died. I think I talked about our tour of the clinic.
Anyway, Nancy's husband died in April and she is having a hard time. Her son is a paramedic who was in rehab to kick a prescription drug addiction after a motorcycle accident. She is lonely and struggling. We are going to stay with her in June when we go to Cevyn's graduation.
The wonderful part was reminiscing about Lisa. We laughed and cried. She told stories of some of their antics. It was just so good to be able to talk about Lisa without making anyone uncomfortable.

It is a gift to be able to share your child without people slowly edging away or sometimes running away. lol I am very glad that the trip worked out well and you had such a nice time with your granddaughter!
Much love,
Leda
sounds like you had a real nice trip....sharing those Lisa memories is priceless! love ya!
Grateful you are home safe and sound and oh, I can feel the lightness and healing that surrounds you because of being able to talk about Lisa. Also, being able to have a nice dinner with Harvey, his wife and Cevyn. This is huge my friend and takes courage for these healing steps to be made especially where Harvey is concerned. Way to go!
I\'m sure your visit gave Nancy a much needed lift and hope that her heart heals and her son finds the freedom that he sorely needs.
Much love and it feels as if it was a \"full circle\" kind of trip. Many things were accomplished, healing moments were felt and Lisa clearly was very present.
XO Joanie
The healing moments shared are the best comfort. I\'m glad the visit went well.
((hugs))
So glad for the positiveness of the trip. wonderful for you, take care, rose
I find so much comfort in sharing stories with Melissa\'s friends. It is something that we share together and it makes me feel good that she is so missed.
It is so good to hear you had much needed Grama time with Chevyn. What is that saying \" If I knew grand kids were so much fun I would have had them first\" I miss my other two I just cannot drive over to see them I work and Hubby will not go over on weekend plus we have the twins., their mother would freak out. I may need to take a day trip on a long weekend.
Love Penny
Please excuse my late reply, just have been so \"out of it\". I\'m glad your trip is over, hoping your business went well and so glad that you got to spend the time with Cevyn and her parents. I imagine they\'re nice people, because your daughter was so good!
It\'s a delight to see our departed children\'s friends, and share their memories. It brings our kids alive again in our eyes and hearts. We must all go towards the good and the positive, because bad vibes can always find us. Love, Abby
A wonderful friend indeed. Hugs, ann
So glad you got to share memories of your precious Lisa. Don\'t we just love being able to speak freely about our child?
Why, do some people find it so un-comfortable, to hear us talk about our children?? Yes, they have pased on, but they lived...they loved...they had lives and they mattered!! I am so glad you were able to share Lisa stories and laugh with your friend.
Congratulations, on a wonderful trip!!!
((((HUGS))))....Julia
Hi Marlene! I am happy that you got to spend some time with Cevyn and her dad and step mom! Isn\'t it wonderful when we can talk about our kids without other people feeling uncomfortable about that which we now want to talk and hear about so much?
Peace.
You and Lisa have had such wonderful people in your life like Nancy. It\'s a reflection on what wonderful people you are.
Big Hugs,
Terry
