Green Smiley Monday

I do have something to smile about!
It has been a very good day!  I have been giving my self a chore a day.  I am the world's worst procrastinator.  Yesterday was fridge cleaning day.  Today was bathroom cleaning day - and boy did they need it!!  The kitchen cupboards were done on Friday and Saturday.  Tomorrow it is the pantry.
The weather has warmed up a bit so I got out walking. I walked downtown to the Dollarama to get some Christmas stuff.  I actually went to get a small bin for the cupboard.  It was fun just poking around.
The best part of today was our chat with Cevyn.  She tends to be available more on Mondays.  She was in a good mood and chatted for quite awhile.  The best part is that she suggested going on another trip with us!  She was talking about Hamlet.  Joe said that although Shakespeare had never been to Elsinore, we had!  She said she wished she could have been with us.  We chatted about travel and told her that we would take her to Brazil but she has to go to school.  She said "We can go somewhere in the summer, before university".  We weren't planning on a summer vacation (except FMO), but I guess we are going again!  I am not so sure where we will go, or how we will pay for it, but it looks like we are going somewhere.
Andrew and Tiina are coming from the 21st to 24th. They will spend Christmas Day with Tiina's boisterous Greek family!
I finally got up the courage to watch videos of Christmases and birthdays past.  For the last 3 evenings we have been enjoying reliving good times.  We saw Cevyn's first birthday - Lisa's friend did a Tweety Bird Cake and a small one, just for Cevyn.  It took awhile but once she realized it was good, she had chocolate from one side of her face to the other!  We also watched video of Andrew and Tiina's Halloween Wedding.  It was hilarious - the best part of watching was hearing Lisa's laugh.  It was infectious!  I cried but they were tears of joy - the joy of having her for a daughter, here on earth for 37 years.
Lisa:  You will always be in my heart.  I miss you always and love you forever, Mummy

Marlene, I am grinning ear to ear thinking of you spending time traveling with Cevyn and having a great time celebrating Christmas in a boisterous Greek style! Somehow the smile diminishes when I think of housework. Sorry.

Love ya,
Leda

Aaah, when we can enjoy the good memories! What a difference it makes in our grief, our stomachs relax, the blood flows faster through our veins, and life is good again! So happy for you. I\'m not yet there, but can see it in the future. Love, Abby

So sweet to have this time with your family. A blessing for sure. I need to try your housework idea as there is so much to be done here. Tomorrow is another day. Hugs, Kathy

This journal is so very full of goodness. Watching videos that warm your heart even if the tears flow, just being back in the moment if only for a few minutes. Planning a trip with your Granddaughter, that is so wonderful.
Namaste my friend,

That is great about Cevyn desiring to enjoy another vacation with you both! Making \"forever memories\" together! And Wow! Reading about your watching Lisa on the video-- and your reaction--made my night! \"Tears of jo\"this is a real milestone, in my humble opinion.

I have a very short video of my little Michael, taken by a friend--using her camcorder for the very first time. She made a copy for me after Michael died. I never watched it for a very long time. And then it seemed so surreal, seeing Michael alive in the flesh again. I haven\'t seen it for a long timeI completely forgot about keeping a VCR to watch it when CD\'s and DVD\'s came into vogueMaybe I\'ll get it transferred to a DVD one day

You are amazing, Marlene!
And I love that idea of \"One chore a day\" and am going to try that also! :-)
Love to you and Lisa, Donna

I used to make myself do 1 chore when I got home from work so I didn\'t just crawl into bed. How wonderful to be able to hear Lisa\'s laugh. A friend of Doug\'s posted a video on fb and I can see his smile, hear his laugh...it warms my heart. Peace to you! Sue xo

Wow, you certainly got a lot done!
Marlene, so glad you got to hear Lisa\'s laugh..the sweetest music isn\'t it? It takes courage to watch videos and experience the mixed emotions but it is worth it.
