insomnia
it is 2 am and I am wide awake. Ugh. I am over my cold and back walking. I keep thinking that I should be feeling more up beat but I am not. In fact I have been teary eyed for most of the day.
I have been thinking a lot of Cevyn. I had a great time with her last weekend but I haven't heard from her since. I keep thinking that she is growing further away from us. I know it is a teenage thing but it is hard to be close to a granny when you only get together 2 or 3 times a year.
I am missing Lisa more than ever. She really was the glue that kept us together; now we seem to be drifting apart.
Okay, that is off my chest. I am tired so will try sleeping again.
Thank y'all for being there.
Lisa: I miss you so much and love you forever. Mum

It\'s 4:19 am here and I have been awake for 3 hours now. I\'m not over my cold and my ear has been infected and completely stopped up for a week now. I know that fighting the health problems often weakens our ability to fight off the sadness and depression over not having our children physically with us. I\'m in that very \"blue zone\" right now. I will be sending prayers your way for peace, comfort and health and hoping you are back in the \"pink\" very soon. Love and hugs to you sweet friend...
man we could all party with the amount of time I spend awake at night!!!!!
wishing you better sleep tonight... I do think this time of year makes the missing worse......love ya!!
Feel better Marlene Love and Hugs to you and Lisa!
Doris
I hear the angst, about your relationship with Cevyn...she is so lucky to have you in her life. My son Kevin would be in 7th heaven, if he had contact with his gramma even once a year... I wish your caring heart could be filled to the brim with reciprocity...but if not now, then \"eventually\"! Love, Donna
Wow, I just hurt for you. You have had too much loss already to have to even face more. I so hope these relationship issues take a turn for the better very, very soon. Would it help to express your concern with Cevyn? These days teenagers are often open to a heart-to-heart with those who love them. It may become one of her most cherished memories?
Gentle ((hugs)) shared.
Marlene I can certainly understand the sadness thinking of loss of contact with your granddaughter. We have always had a great relationship with Evies mom...but the reality is...it could change at anytime. We have to just hope for the best don\'t we? Personally, I would think you are such a hip grandmother that she will long to be with you and make it happen!!! :-)
Tightest of hugs Marlene.
Marlene, I am thinking of you and loving you! I don\'t have grandchildren so cannot relate on that level, but I can relate on that \"let down\" feeling as far as looking forward to something or occasion so much and then it is over and damn, have to wait a long time until the next one! Hope you get good rest.
Peace.
Marlene, I am sorry you are feeling so sad. If its any consolation when my grandies were a bit younger I rarely saw them and they only lived a half mile away. They were too involved in their teen social lives. They are a bit older now and seem to be more \"into\" family so I do hear from them more often now. Much of the time it is via text but that\'s ok too. Feel better. I know when I am sick it just gives me too much time to miss Ed. He, as Lisa, was the glue that held the family together. Sigh. Just know I walk right beside you. Much love to you and beautiful Lisa, Linda
Marlene I can relate to what you said about feeling like your granddaughter, Cevyn is growing away from you. My granddaughter Barbara will be 16 in Feb & I feel like that as well. I\'m glad she is growing up but I miss our togetherness. Hey......I think you still are a hip grandma!!
Love you Marlene....Vicki
I understand everything you are saying~it is like what happen??I was a family and everyone loved me..where are they! ,,I think it is happening to a lot of us..Sending you a big hug!
The feeling of loneliness is such a part of this journey, for our children as well as the relationships that are not the same. There really is no answer except keep trying each day to honor our children and ourselves. Love to you!!!Kathy
You are a hip grandma and I\'m feeling your heart dearest Marlene. Change is never easy and oh, these young ones go through so many and believe me you will always BE in her heart and there will come a time when she\'ll come back around. My children too were so very busy with jobs, life etc., and I know it hurt my in-laws who lived close that they did not always show up for family gatherings. I could see it in their eyes so the distance can be there even in miles or not and it\'s still there as they are trying to gain their independence. Of course our minds understand this yet it does hurt our hearts... I know...
With you and hope today is an easier day on that very beautiful and loving heart of yours.
XO Joanie
