Update

It has been a busy but good busy.  We had a great thanksgiving with Andrew and Tiina.  Miracle of miracles - they were both relaxed and happy (they usually take turns).  We had dinner with Tiina's family. 
Their basement is almost finished and looks great.  They have book shelves on all the walls - filled with Andrew's huge comic collection and some books.  We slept on the Murphy bed - it is very comfortable.
The wonderful news is that Cevyn is going to be in Calgary this weekend for her step sister's wedding. The wedding is on Sunday so we are going to meet her at the airport on Friday evening and she will stay at our house until Saturday afternoon/evening.  Then she will go to Beth's family and the wedding.  She flies home on Sunday. 
 We have another board meeting tonight.  It should be interesting.  I have a not so great relationship with one of our board members.  My neighbours and I are supporting the incumbent city councillor.  We were asked by one of her campaign people to allow her in to our condo.  We were told it is the law so any politician running must be allowed access.  We thought we would ask the board, thinking they would be fine with it.  Not so much.  My 'friend' suggested that this was an inside job (meaning me and my neighbour).  I took offense and told him so when I met him in the lobby.  Ultimately, I suggested that he was being elitist.  Why should we be different from the people who live in the burbs?  Of course we do not everyone who arrives at our door in.  But it is the law that so we will have someone here this week.  Other candidates can come too if they wish.  During the conversation, it became clear that he does not like our candidate.   So tonight should be fun!
