Green Smiley Monday

I do have stuff to smile about.
I am so happy that I did decided NOT to go to work.  It was hard for me to admit that it was not for me.
I was able to help Marie, my friend, drive home from Victoria.  We had a nice trip and I got to spend a bit of time by the ocean.
We went to the Buchart Gardens in Victoria.  The gardens were built in a quarry early in the 20th century.  Apparently the Butcharts owned a quarry that was behind their house.  Mrs. B. didn't like looking at the old quarry so had a garden built.  It is beautiful.  The spring flowers were blooming; and the blossoms were incredible.  The magnolias and rhododendrums were stunning (magnolias and rhododendrums  don't grow here).
We had an uneventful drive home.
Lorraine was in good spirits yesterday.  She has more tests to have done.  She went out with another friend for lunch yesterday.
So life could be worse.
Wishing all a peaceful week.
Lisa:  I felt you with me but I missed your surprise visits.  I miss you always and love you forever.  Mum

Glad you\'re feeling good-so nice of you to assist your friend! Kevin and I toured the Butchart Gardens several years ago. It was amazingly gorgeous. I had a neat experience there--I was incredibly thirsty and had to rush not to miss our tour bus departing. Needed water QUICK! Couldn\'t find ANYTHING-/just then a worker appeared out of nowhere and I asked and he pointed me to a water fountain--then seemed to vanish when I turned to thank him! Yes, I think he was an angel in disguise...! Made my return bus just in time!

Sometimes, the things that working prevents us from doing, are not worth the paycheck. I think that makes sense, lol. The nice time, spent by the sea, with your friend was priceless!! The gardens sound georgeous! I do hope things work out for your frieend.
