Green Smiley Monday

What do I have to smile about today?
I am feeling more positive.  We have had company lately and I do better with a crowd it seems.
A smiley was Friday evening.  I went to a drum circle.  It was great.  The leader is so dynamic.  It is quite meditative listening to the drums and feeling the vibrations.  There were a couple of men with digiridoos (I have no idea how to spell that).  It was a relaxing yet uplifting evening.  I loved the stress release part.  We got to drum as fast and hard as we could and screamed.  It was so noisy, you could not hear yourself!  Then it was silent and we meditated.
We had a huge snow storm yesterday.  Today is is clearing but anyone driving to work this morning had a challenge.  There were trucks and buses all over the place - they could not get get up the hills.  The smiley part was that I got to stay in by the fire!
Wishing all a peaceful, happy week.
Lisa:  I miss you always and love you forever.

A drum circle sounds like fun. I like to play the drums, it is peaceful but forceful! Maybe next time I will scream too!

I LOVE drum circles!!! That\'s one of my favorite things to do in Asheville, NC. Every Friday night the whole town (seemingly) meets on the square and there are lots of drums being played and lots of dancing and chanting, singing, and yes, some screams. It\'s a very spiritual experience for me. Very freeing....very ALIVE! I could have SO easily been a hippee....I was just a few years too late~~

Enjoy your day in by the fire!

Love you!

Keep up all the positivity, hoping some will catch on to me. Funny how our moods are so changeable, yet still us. Do you ever write letters to Lisa? I bet you\'d like that. love you, Abby

Drum circles are so powerful and I adore them too! The first time I experienced a didgeridoo I was so deeply moved and I remember the tears just flowed.

Glad you have enjoyed your company and that today has been lighter on your heart.

Much love,
XO Joanie

How awesome that you are feeling a bit more positive. Always love to hear that from one of our moms. Yes music can have a powerful effect on us. My oldest son, Jeremy was in college with plans to pursue music therapy. He was so confident that music could have a positive & healing effect. My younger son, Chad would have loved to be able to pursue art therapy. Even tho they did not get to realize their dreams, just their desire to do so touched me & has a profound effect on me. The arts really can have a beneficial effect on us.
