Green Smiley Monday

It is Monday again.  Yesterday was a terrible day.  I think it was the fact that I was thinking of all the mothers who lost their kids to war.  Today is better, though I am still down.
The green smiley part is that I woke up to a spectacular sunrise.  We have a big East facing window so get to see the beauty of the sun rising (at least in the winter.  It is way too early in the summer).  Today, the colors changed and all were beautiful.  It started out a deep fuschia colour, then dark pink, then to a beautiful pink and blue pastel color.  I have seen some incredible sunrises but I think this time is the first time I have witnessed the changes, where each change was beautiful in and of itself.
And our weather is getting a bit warmer.  We are close to freezing.  In a day or 2 we should see our snow melting.
Have a wonderful week.
My Dear Lisa:  As usual, I wanted to phone you this morning to tell you about the sunrise.   I am thinking that perhaps you sent it.  I miss you always and love you forever,  Mummy

So good to find pleasure in this earth. It was all put here for our well being. We are to say \"The world was created for me, and I am as the dust of the earth.\" Both thoughts at the same time. Hard to do. Thanks for telling the colors, I can imagine it much better this way. love, Abby

I could almost see that sunrise in my mind, you described it so beautifully. I soooo understand the feeling, of wanting to call Lisa. I miss my chats with Dean everyday. He was my loving, funny boy and he always will be...

You described that sunrise so well I felt like I saw it too! I found that after bereavement, my appreciation for everything took a big leap forward...my capacity for greater sensory awareness of God\'s beauty around me increased significantly! :-) Love, Donna

The day after Toby died I was sitting up all night and saw the most amazing sunrise and I still saw the beauty in it and felt as if it was Toby\'s spirit. These small things take on new meaning. Xxxx
