Green Smiley Monday

I am sort of smiling.  I got through Christmas without ruining it for everyone else! And of course, I enjoyed watching Cevyn open gifts.  We reminisced a bit about Christmases past.
Although I had to go downstairs fairly often because there were triggers that brought tears e.g. seeing Beth and Harvey disagree about how to roast the turkey.  Lisa and Harv disagreed about something in the kitchen every Christmas.
I am also smiling because the candle we lit at Lisa's grave on Christmas Eve was still burning and the apple scent welcomed us back. The mile and a half walk to the cemetery was peaceful.  The snow was gently falling and it really felt like Christmas.
I truly feel that Lisa was with me and telling me everything is okay.  Especially when the amethyst fell out of a ring I was wearing that had belonged to her.  I felt bad but never told anyone.  After everyone left (we had 15 of Beth's family over), Beth came to me and asked if I had lost a purple stone. She found it on the floor while cleaning up.  It hadn't gone down the central vac after all.  Joe and I figured that if it had fallen out upstairs, it would have been long gone - Beth sweeps and vacuums daily, and more when she has company (she is a self-confessed obsessive compulsive about cleaning and tidying).
So I am still brokenhearted but moving forward.
I wish everyone a wonderful week and peace, love, and happiness in the new year.

I am sooo glad that special ring\'s stone was found! I found this (at the site listed below what it says) about amethysts...I thought it would be interesting to find out just what amethysts are known for in their healing properties..I know many people people that gemstones have healing properties, and who knows, right?! Mmaybe that wasn\'t an accident that the stone fell out and was later found!

Amethyst Meaning

The meaning and symbology of amethyst is one of spiritual contentment. It helps to strengthen the connection and communication between the mind, body, spirit and other worlds. It is very beneficial as a stone of protection because it neutralizes negative energy. Amethyst gemstones also assist people to become more flexible and adopt new ideas more easily.

I think that was communication from your devoted Lisa to you! Moving forward at our own pace is the keynote of \"healing\" in my humble opinion...always ups and downs for awhile...

Marlene, Your family sounds like how mine used to be. I am so sorry, the arguing incessant and unpleasant. In our small group of three we didn\'t have that this year even though my father hung unpleasant clouds over my head, from far away. That was a trigger for me - they are bound to come and we have to try to win Oscar awards for acting. lol Right?

My heart soared for you when the stone was found from that precious ring and when you found the candle still lit. Both of those signs were so uplifting! Love to you and yours, Leda

What a treasure to have found the stone...and the candle lit waiting or your return..I am waiting on a special item that Ken left on my bed on Mothers Day as a surprise..a pair of ear-rings...I lost one and have looked forever..and I really mean forever...even after I sold my house..in 92..but one day I feel that Ken will have them both laying together somewhere for me to find...a wish, a dream, a hope, but I want to hang on to that that maybe one day..it will appear....thanks for your note.Sandi

You did indeed move through it with love and intention. So happy the stone was found and it\'s my birthstone and one that I simply adore too. :) I was intrigued by the symbolism of the stone that Donna shared.

Gentle care to you as you continue this walk and in love. I have no doubt that Lisa is letting you know that all is well and how proud she is of you with your continued courage.

Love and hugs,
Joanie

I actually slept on the recliner through the whole gift exchange and dinner. I don\'t remember much of anything...those drugs I took totally knocked me out...I\'m so glad Christmas is over, maybe I\'ll be able to handle it better next year. Have a peaceful, blessed 2012. Terry
