Green Smiley Monday
I am smiling because two of Lisa's very good friends are on their way to Calgary for a visit. I love to hang out with them.
Another smile because we spent the weekend with our son and DIL. We went to a great breakfast restaurant yesterday with Tiina's parents. We had a lovely visit.
After breakfast we spent some time with my sister-in-law and her husband. She is battling ovarian cancer with metastases. She has been through chemo a couple of times and it has not really made a difference. Despite everything she remains optimistic but realistic. We had a nice visit but it tired her out. I gave her a pendant from Santiago and a scallop shell from Finisterre (the end of the world). Those who carry a scallop shell on their packs on the Camino de Santiago are recognized as pilgrims.
So for now I am smiling.
