Green Smiley Monday
I am smiling today - not great wide smiles but smiles nonetheless.
Joe decided that we should have some neighbors over for tapas on Saturday. I was a bit skeptical because it would mean a lot of little dishes, some of which needed to be cooked and eaten hot. Since it was his idea, he said he would cook - and he did. I made the sangria and dessert and he did the hard work while we ate, drank sangria, laughed and talked. It turned out to be one of the best parties!
Joe is very quiet and not a chatty person. But he loves to be around people. He was very happy to be cooking as we ate. And we were happy to eat while he cooked. Everyone agreed that his cooking rated a 10! I loved seeing him enjoying himself.

Tapas are Spanish appetizers. They involve a lot of olive oil, tomatoes, bread, and chorizo, a spicy sausage - and of course Sangria!
