I am in a bit of a blue funk this evening. it has been dull and rainy for a few days and we haven't done our long walks for a few days. I am realizing that walking does help with my mood.
Last night I went to my second drum circle. I have always loved percussion so when a friend asked if I was interested, I said yes. I love it and plan to go as often as I can. I like that it is drop-in - I can go whenever I want and if I don't go, I don't have to feel guilty. And the best part is you don't have to be a drummer - anybody can drum!
I had dinner with Lisa's friend and her mother on Thursday. I was a bit hesitant as they are the sister and mother of a man that was found murdered. I am so glad I went. Colette and I immediately understood one another.
I am still waiting to hear how Lisa's friend Nancy is doing after her surgery - they found a large tumor.
Thursday was my granddaughter Cevyn's 15th birthday. Lisa would be so proud of her. She is a beautiful girl with a quirky sense of humour. Yesterday was Andrew's birthday. It is at times like this that the pain of missing Lisa really hurts. We would have spent time discussing what to get for whom. Life just seems empty.
On the upside, our son and DIL are here for a comic convention. Andrew is moderating panels and has a booth to sell his books. Tiina is enjoying the atmosphere and some of the sessions (and shopping with me this morning).
Life goes on - but it is so hard that it is without Lisa. I miss her so much.
Lisa - I miss you always and love you forever.
