Green Smiley Monday

It is a fairly decent Monday.  I feel much more positive now that I am walking and have a goal.
I am trying to be positive about the fact that my SIL is engaged.  My granddaughter is delighted as she loves Beth and Beth loves her.  Beth also loved Lisa and was essentially Lisa and Harvey's wedding planner.  I truly believe that she did not have any intention of having a relationship with Harvey when she moved back to Ottawa.  But it has happened.  I just find it hard to see them happy when I am missing Lisa so much.
I told him that he should wait a year before he got in to a relationship.  It is a year and a half so he did wait (except for Marta, the woman who tried to move in shortly after Lisa died).  He learned after a while that Marta was using him to be her Mr. Fixit and babysitter.  Beth met her and made it clear that Marta is no longer welcome.
Anyway - I am pretty positive today.
Have a great week!

Happy to hear that today is a good day for you. The walking sounds as if it is really benefitting you. I\'m sure it is challenging to be in a place of happiness for Harvey when you are longing for Lisa... how could it not be? For your granddaughter to be delighted with Beth is such a plus and I hope it continues to go well for all. Love and hugs, Joanie

Hi Marlene, I am so glad you are feeling positive. I think it is natural to have mixed emotions when others \"move on\". Be gentle on yourself. Love to you and Lisa, Linda

Good to hear that you were/are (?) feeling pretty positive. It is so hard (perhaps impossible) to feel completely happy as we see those who loved Corrie and Lisa regain their way in the world. Right now Corrie\'s on-again/off-again boyfriend for most of her life is visiting us in Vegas. When Alex and Corrie met at age 13, Alex was a bright but dyslexic student who hated reading and had no ambitions beyond working for the grocery store he worked at all through middle and high school (and part of college). He had no self confidence ~ but, through a very long story of Alex living with our family off and on and Corrie always pushing him ~ he has now completed a Masters in Business and is studying as we speak for his CPA exam. Certainly mixed feelings there! We love Alex but Alex and Corrie are melded in our hearts and heads and he shouldn\'t be here and thriving without Corrie! (well ~ yes he should but...)

Love to you Marlene ~ Debbie

I am happy that you can accept that your SIL has found love again,,,yet I can also feel your pain of wanting it to still be Lisa, how could you not....I don\'t know if my DIL has met anyone or not....but really don\'t feel I want her to live alone with no love as she is still young.....It is great that Beth and her have a good relationship but of course no one could replace Lisa....It is good he took your advise about waiting a year,,,except for the one pushy one....Hopefully, you and her will develop a wonderful relationship in time...I am sure it is a difficult feeling....with missing your sweet Lisa so much...
Thinking of you, Sandi
