GRRR
Sometimes people just can't get a break. My son is a writer waiting on an agent. His manager is trying to get a well known one. Unfortunately, he has a habit of cancelling meetings. Andrew has a less known company who are anxious to sign him. Needless to say, he is a starving artist and is anxious to get on with things.
To add insult to injury, his garage was broken into, not once but twice! The night before last, they stole my DIL's $900 bike. Last night, the evidently came with a truck and a crowbar and stole a lawn mower.
I am just frustrated. There isn't much I can do except sympathize and remind him that nobody was hurt. I am glad they didn't hear anything because he might have gone out and been hit over the head.
Their house is in an older neighbourhood with a lot of trees. The garage faces the alley so it is quite dark back there. Andrew said there is nothing much more to steal - as long as they don't try for the house. Then it would be disastrous. Andrew is a writer and Tiina is a graphic artist. They both depend on computers!

Marlene, I am so sorry to hear that Andrew and his wife had to go through that. Its such a feeling of violation.
Can they afford motion lighting or a security system? It bites that in this world we need to spend money to preserve what is ours - what we\'ve earned! Take care, hugs, Linda
How stressful...I hate to hear when this happens...my friends garage was broken into...it gave her such a sense of vulnerability...they DID get a security system because of their worry. I am glad it helped you to talk about it...take care...love and hugs...Karen
