Green Smiley Monday

I was wondering what to smile about.  I then talked to my son and realized that, although my family (the ones I care most about) is small, we are very close - emotionally if not geographically.  In this I include Lisa's husband.  If anyone remembers, I was on the verge of strangling him as he was not dealing well with Lisa's passing.  I was distraught and had no patience for his behaviour.  As I look back, I realize he was doing what he always did when he was hurting - spend, spend, spend and do anything to avoid dealing with the loss. He has come a long way, and thankfully he did not cut me off from my granddaughter.
We now have a good relationship and our little was altogether for the holiday - Andrew, my son,  Tiina, his wife,  Harvey, Lisa's husband and Cevyn, our beautiful granddaughter.  We are all still grieving but are here for each other.  And that means a lot.
Lisa is with us in spirit - I can now  smile each time a see a VW beetle.  Lisa loved her little beetle convertible.  She said it made people smile as she drove with the top down and the children played Punch Buggy.
I feel so sad for those whose families are not supportive.  This journey is sad enough as it is.
