I was a good girl and took LJ's advise and put myself in my room.. I don't have a comfy chair yet. I re-arranged my room a little and put my little antique chair to good use. I just sat with my feet propped up on the bed. The girls were arguing all the way home from the gym, yelling in the shower bitching at dinner. I had enough.
My daughter has another job working two she is never home, of course I am taking care of the twins. I know this is the only way she can make enough money to move out a be on her own again. I am tired bottom line.

Yes, you must do this and have this \"time out\" space for YOU. Oh, Penny, so much is going on and I know you are tired. I would be tired just taking care of mine for several hours and this just isn\'t something our children can understand that we are not spring chickens any longer and it\'s exhausting.

I know what you mean Penny. Sometimes when the kids are here I go to my room and close the door (after telling John I need a break). John has been very good about giving me some quite time when I need it. I do the same for him. I don\'t know if your husband can care for the twins or not giving his medical problems.
Recharging your batteries on that cruise will be so nice I\'m sure.

Now the only thing that still worries me is my daughter said she will give the key ,to the twins and let them stay in the house till she gets home. She works two jobs the 2nd job she may get off at 10 or as late as 1230 You cannot leave 9 year olds home alone like that. That scares me I am going on vacation to unwind not worry.
It is against the law and if she is reported to DFS she could be investigated and lose her children. This is YOUR house and you cannot allow her to even think to do this as this is very, very dangerous. Penny, huge red flags and not going to happen. There has to be somewhere they could go or someone who could come into the house?
You must advocate for the twins as it seems your daughter is unable to at this time. You will be worried sick about them and that is no vacation for you.
Is Karen able to help out at all? Does she know someone who might be?
