quick update
I had all of last week off of work and it was wonderful to reconnect with my DD. But, it was hard to leave her this morning. When I was getting my coat and shoes on this morning she was sitting on my DH's lap watching me get ready and every time I'd look at her she'd smile like "where we going mum??"...so sad to leave her.
We had her 4 month well-baby check last week. She's gaining like crazy! She's up to 15 lbs 8oz and 25 and 3/4 inches long. She didn't like the shots, ofcourse. She ran a slight fever for the next day and a half or so after her appointment.
Our heater broke during my week off!! We went about 2 days without heat. Grace actually has a seperate heater in her room--not connected to the house. So, her room had heat. We have an old house and her room actually had no radiater in it...so we installed electric baseboard heating. The couple of days weren't all that cold and our house only went down to about 55 degrees and then back up to around 62 during the day. We had space heaters and we managed.
It doesn't look like my DH got the job he interviewed for 2 weeks ago. We're pretty sure they would have called by now if he had. So...it looks like I'll be a working mom for a little while longer.
Also, we started Grace on solid food this week. She's been getting cereal in her bottles for like 4 weeks (to help thicken it for her reflux...when I'm home she still drinks straight from the boob). She's been showing all of the signs of being ready to eat...can hold her head on her own, sits with assistance, shows interest in others eating, empties both boobs and is still hungry... Well, she did amazing! We started her on squash because a friend had given me a bunch of jars that she couldn't use for her LO. I plan on making my own baby food, but we started with the jarred stuff. She eats really well....
Well...I think that's my quick update.
