Day one...

..without tramadol and attempting to quit smoking. Doesn't help that I started my period as well. Instead of writing about the 500 or so ways my day went to shit, I choose to jot down the things that lifted my mood.I don't know what I would do without my babies. I'm an animal person, always have been, always will be. As an only child, my best friends were my mother first and my dog second. Now, I have wild animal kingdom living under my one roof with three cats and two dogs. My cats are my saviours man. My new puppy (girlfriend for the stud) is giving me so many reasons to smile. Yes, she can be annoying. She's a puppy, of course she's annoying lol. But I am so proud of her progress with training. As soon as she stepped paw into this house, she was a mama's girl. I was fed up of being in the house, unable to accomplish anything due to the pain so I decided to brighten HER day and treat her to a walk...The lady I got her from told me she was trained. She lied, big time. The pup had obviously never been put on a leash. She's terrified of passing vehicles and she (being the small thing she is) tries to show off her bravery by barking at everything that we pass. Today was different. Today she walked right beside me. When we came to a yard that had a dog, she whined for a split second, looked up at mama and kept right on going. She got a treat for that. I am proud. The others know when I'm in a bad mood and either leave me well alone or stick right by my side constantly. They have stayed out of my way today, except for the pup. She has been in my lap or right beside me through the worst of my moods. It's nice.
