The TN is holding back but it sure makes me tired and out of it. Neurologist put me on cymbalta for depression and neurological pain. It take about a month for it to work. Then I will try getting off the Trileptal.
Hey Ralph, remember that after a while you can gain some equilibrium with some of these meds and not be so tired on them. I haven\'t had any real TN problems lately though some rather nasty pain from the neuropathy in my feet. But it is copeable.
I am so glad to hear it Ralph. I don\'t know if I told you but I visited the ER three tims with in three weeks with uncontrollable TN. I am 48yrs old and there was a 48 year old man crying in the ER... ME. I currently have a team of 3 doctors trying to come up with some type of mecication regiment for me. Hope they have some success.

Hi, you aren\'t liking the trileptal then? Are you Atypical like me? I started out with electrical pain for about 3 months, but once those things stopped ( I assumed because of tegretol) I was left with intense pain that no pain pill touches and the Tegretol doesn\'t affect. I have thought of trying Trileptal, but I don\'t know if it would actually be any different.
I hope your day is beginning far better than mine.
Thank you for the advice! I go to Pittsburgh also for treatment, I\'m pretty sure its the same doctor that you go to. I\'ve been to the ER once so far in the 2 months I was diagnosed, only because the staff at the hospital around here (2 hours away from Pittsburgh) treats people like dirt. I waited in line crying my eyes out for 20 minutes while the receptionist was on the phone chatting with a buddy I think. My husband didn\'t like that very much! I hope the Cymbalta works alone for you! I\'m about to try it alone as well, but haven\'t had TN quite as long as you have. Good luck!
