JUST A THOUGHT---SURRENDER  Surrender to the pain.  Then  learn to surrender to the good.  Our goal in recovery is to make ourselves feel comfortable, peaceful and happy.  We want to be at peace with ourselves that something I was always looking for but never could attain because of my addictions.  Then I found if I wanted recovery I had to go the extra mile and feel the pain and everything that comes with to see a little light at the end of the tunnel.  I am not tallking about being addicted to misery and pain, I am not talking about creating unnecssary pain.  I am talking about the legitmate discomfort we sometimes WE NEED TO FEEL TO HEAL.    Slowing but surly it came but until I found my HP I was just spinning my wheels, I will never forget when I surrendered to that. When I heard the word surrender I thought I had to do that in all areas of my life but that was not true for me, I just had to surrender to the diease I have and let go and ASK FOR HELP with a power greater than myself and everything else fell into place. Sometime the process hurts.  We are strong enough to survive discomfort and temporary feelings of emotional pain.  Once I was WILLING to face and feel the discomfort and pain thats when things came into focus.  The word surrender is not such a bad word as I thought.  till next time
