Just a thought -- Do you feel cheated?? If you go around thinking you are being cheated, and life becomes very unpleasent please read on. Sometimes we feel cheated that we have been given this damn disease to cope with,  Why us??  Why can't we just be like " normal people "?  Why did we have to get into so much trouble and pain as a result of a disease that hit us and skipped over other people? Another way to look at it is: Hey I'm really lucky.  I have a killer disease, and I'm beating the odds.  I'm getting healthier every day and growing, I got my life back.  Another way to look at it is: AT LEAST ITS A DISEASE I CAN RECOVER FROM.  There are some " normal people " that have a terminal disease that have no hope for recovery so ask yourself why them and no me.  The bottem line today I have a choice where they do not. Through my HP it will remember to remind me there are a lot worse things in life than being in recovery. We may even feel grateful or should for the path  that lead us into recovery.  Do we believe it? There's one way to find out , We need to try it. What are 5 things that I have gotten from recovery?? I will write them  down and refer to them when I'm tempted to feel sorry for myself through self-pity  Happy Holidays,  until next time...

You always seem to make sense to me...thank you for your words of wisdom! You\'re right, I have not only felt cheated, but envious of people who can have one(1) drink...but that\'s them! Hope you\'re well!

When I see or hear of some of the things others have to go through, I think, wow, and I think I had it rough. As you said ~ I can live with this disease and become a better person through recovery. Yes this disease can be terminal, but not for me, not anymore. I am lucky that I have a choice in that matter.
