Just came online to read the discussion post and ran into one that remined me of me when I was hopeless. Shit how I feel for her and the nonsupport of people around her that doesnt know one damn thing about are deal. This shit kills on a daily basis some just because of not knowing. Then there is others that cant accept the fact that they have a problem and wont do anything about it, for them theres not to much to say as I always say "THE WANT HAS TO BE MORE THEN THE NEED" I was a meeting tonight and there was new person there and she could"nt even drink from a cup she was shaking so bad, as of right now she is in detox. Thats what we do in recovery people helping people. I am just in this pissy mood when I read the one girls journal that admits she has a problem and goes to a doctor and tells her just don"t drink for awhile then you can drink socially, give me a fucking break where did he or she get their licence at . Well I guess thats enough venting. Till next time

It\'s frustrating when people don\'t understand what we understand, huh? It\'s frustrating that some people just don\'t get it. It breaks my heart. So many addicts are suffering when they don\'t need to. They have no support. They have no hope. They have no knowledge of resources around to help. They have no ambition to get better. They just don\'t care anymore. I wish I could just drag them out of their misery over to my happiness and freedom. I need to accept the reality of it though. I need to focus on my recovery and help the people who do want the help. Maybe the others will hit the bottom they need to hit and will come around...
What a stoopid dr. Just think of all the $$$ he could have made under the guise of helping her....meds, appts.,appts., more meds, admission to a psych unit, visits, she drinks more, meds, appts. admiits to hospital, more visits plus getting his cronies to visit(@ $175 a visit) more meds, more appts, she drinks more nd more,suicide attempt, ICU, back to psych unit and on and on anon. Sounds to me like she has poor insurance or none at all. No $$$ in that! Thus, she drinks and dies. Pitiful!The care and feeding of the addicts in the USA!
