Feature Family Films called to sell me a movie. At first I told them I wasn't interested, but they talked me into buying a Franklin movie for my daughter. I agreed, even though I didn't know what it was about. Here is the amazing thing: It's about Franklin getting a new baby brother or sister! What a funny coincidence! It got me to thinking about what we are going to do when we have the baby. I want this to be a good experience for my daughter. I don't want her to be traumatized by it! All I can think is I need to have my MIL come (which I really don't want--but it would be ideal for my daughter). I talked to my husband & he disagrees. He thinks it would be too much to ask of my MIL because she lives 3½ hours away. So now I'm not sure what to do. I have a close friend who is having her sixth child a few months before me. I don't feel I could ask her. My daughter wouldn't want to go there anyway. I guess I need to find a friend that my daughter likes who would be willing to stay at my house until I got back. I still keep thinking that my MIL is the best option. It seems to me like she would be honored & excited to help. But she is unpredictable, so maybe I'm wrong. I still can't believe this is happening! I am so excited I can hardly contain myself. I started walking in the morning. My entire legs & butt are sore--from WALKING! That shows how out of shape I am! I'm starting this pregnancy 15 pounds heavier than when I was pregnant before. I gained so much in my last pregnancy, I almost made it to 200 pounds. I'm thinking this time, I need to be more careful or I'm going to go way over. I want to be healthy for the baby. Yesterday I made a salad out of boiled wheat. I thought it was good, but my husband hated it. Oh well. I guess I'm rambling. I'm going to go work on my messy house.

I\'m sooo happy for you. You sound so excited and I\'m glad things are working out for you. I\'m surprised that a soon to be grandma wouldn\'t want to come and help out, but I guess I\'m lucky in that aspect. Both are mothers are very close to us and are part of our daily lives. I hope you can work something out. You still have a few months to try and figure it out. Happy 4th of July*****
i think your mil is a good option---and it doesnt hurt to ask! she could say no. did you have a c section last time? you\'ll obviuosly be away longer if thats the case. i would be sore from just walking too. i was down to 1/2 lb above my prepreg. weight (ate very little when our house was under construction--mainly due to men all around constantly and stress) but its all done and since i\'m trying to get pregnant, i started eating more and now i feel FAT---i feel like i gained about 5-7 lbs and feel yucky!!!!
I also think the MIL is a good option. Why does your husband disagree? 3 1/2 hours is not really all that far away. I think your daughter will do fine. I have read taht 3 to 3 1/2 years is the perfect time to have another baby. They are more comfortable with the starting of being independent but not so set in their ways of being an only child. We will see as my youngest will be just shy of 3 1/2 when this one comes. Happpy 4th.
