Better

One of the best books I have ever read was the Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. It changed my life so much. Since discovering his philosophies I have become so much smarter about so many things. I have begun weening myself off the antidepressants I have been taking for 1.5 years. Things are far from perfect, but man if I look at how I am now compared to when I first started taking the meds the difference is huge.  I wonder if I am just becoming more mature - if I am it is because I have done my best to find positive truths that are going to help me get through this life, and thrive with the cards that have been dealt to me - mental illnesses and all.  I feel better.  Thanks for listening. Man I am so happy to have come across Daily Strenght. It is funny how I am able to talk about things in public I wouldn't dare to if I were say on FB with people who know me.  I am here for you all and will respond to you whenever I have a spare moment or two. We can be there for each other - it is human nature.  God bless.  Cammy

I know where your coming from. When others do not know or understand mental illness many times they feel very uncomfortable in talking about it. It is easier to ignore it and pretend it is not there, or label that person as just less than desirable to be part of the family or friendship circle.

What bothers me the most, is seeing the very dysfunctional and immoral friendship or family circles and I feel torn of wanting to be part of it to feel wanted, or preferring to be alone to not deal with all the unscrupulous drama. I am far from perfect, but why does it seem that I have spent a lifetime trying to fix myself by going to therapists, now going to church every Sunday, and becoming a Freemason? Am I the only one that is sinful?
