today is friday the 13th......in biker land this is a national holiday.....check out the address.
Bikers from all over invade this little fishing village of Port Dover Ontario, every time the calendar shows a friday the 13th.....rain or shine, snow or wind......there will be bikers there. I believe there was a count once of almost two hundred thousand!
We are not there this year....for this one anyway. It is still way too cold for me to be riding for 3 hours and then walking around in the cold and then riding home....not this girl! I have been there enough times over the years I don't need to put myself through that nonsense.....we have many friends and club members who are there, so we will get pictures.
This cold has almost worked to way out of my head and chest. I actually managed to get some laundry done.....our laundry, next I start on all the bedding and towels from the house guests.
dinner is in the oven and I am going to a GF's house tonight for a pampered chef party or as we like to say and gab and bitch party....lol
I am trying to find someone to help with some landscape work around the house.....the pros are way to expensive.....I went last year and had them come out and give me a design, I wanted to incorporate what I already had and just add to it......holy cow......he drew up a $10,000.00 plan.....I was thinking $1000. would have been a big budget. I had them do a little bit of work and said I would call them in the spring to do more, but no way. i have the plan to follow.....which i wasn't completely happy with, so now I can do my own changes but I still have the master plan to keep me on track.
i am hoping I can find someone who is laid off or retired who wants to make a little bit under the table and help me out.....will update that later.
Daughter went back home yesterday, she was down to do some paper work for the bank....regarding the life insurance that mom had on her student loan.....that will be a big weight of her shoulders.....that would cut her student debt in half.
i was able to get the photo albums from my cousin.....he is being very nice so far about everything....I told him I only wanted some sentimental things and he is okay with that. We shall see how things go!

So glad to hear that the cold is on it\'s way out and that you made the reasonable decision to let the other biker\'s have this trip without you. I hate it when I have to do that for the Cherry Blossom Festival. Have missed two times in 9 years and they were back to back.. weather and high pain levels kinda go together and don\'t make for many outdoor trips for me.
Isn\'t it ridiculous what the pros want for landscaping! Sheesh! Hope you can find a good retired person that would like to help.. they would probably have a love for doing it as well as a desire for the extra cash.
Glad the cousin is being ok about you getting the sentimental things.. if it\'s a guy he is probably just relieved that you are taking some things off.

I\'ve heard of those biker deals but never been physically witness to any of the going on\'s but it\'s neat to read abt it.
I too am finally getting rid of my cold & did you find that this time of the yr it seemed to want to hang on even longer. I do so hope you can kick it far far away.
Ouch, lots of dollar signs for the landscape work for sure. I know here if we look thru the papers one can usually find people who are trying to do this type of work on their own to make some extra money. I so hope you can luck out & find someone my friend.
