Hello ladies. I dont coe on the site as much as I use to in order to mintain my sanity. I am so ready to startback with IVF but i am struggling with losing weighht. When I tried my first IVF cycle I was 204lbs. I am currently 238 maybe 240. I recently joined another gym and I am gonna try and be more consistant with it. My periods have also been very irregular so my gyn has advised me to stay on BCpills for 3 months to get my hormone levels back stable. I am also taking metformin or pcos.I am struggling with being consistent with the metformin as it makes me feel reallly sick so sometimes i skip days at a time with taking it. I am hoping to have at least lost 30lbs before july/august so that I can get moving with another IVF cycle. This will be my last cycle that is covered by my insurance so i want the best results from it. I dont have any more frozen embies. Anyone has any weight lose tips. Also has anyone else been prescribed metformin for pcos? do you have any side effect? How many MG of metformin are you prescribed?
Im sorry if I am asking to many questions. I am just tired of waiting for my baby. I want my baby now.

Thanks ladies :)

I\'m trying to lose about 30 lbs before a summer transfer as well. Sorry I don\'t have any tips other then, put down the fork! But, if you\'re working out and going to the gym, I think that\'s the first, biggest step, so congratulations :-)

I think programs like weight watchers work really well for people because it isn\'t a fad diet and doesn\'t exclude any foods it just teaches you how to eat in moderation. You should check it out. Weight loss is mostly diet changes. Exercise is good but without changing your diet, the weight won\'t come off like you want it too. I hope you meet your goal prior to your next IVF. Good luck to you. :)

I\'ve been struggling with weight also.. I have found a cure though! I started a 90 day challenge with Visalus. I started it on Monday and I\'m already down four pounds. My goal in the 90 day time frame is to lose 30 lbs, but I really need to lose like 60! My starting weight was 215 lbs. check out my site and watch the short video and feel free to ask any questions. I\'m not a paid promoter or anything, but I\'m losing weight and feeling much better emotionally already!

Regarding metformin, there\'s an extended release form that has fewer stomach side effects that\'s generic and inexpensive. And f that still usets your stomach, there\'s Glumetza, which is a special easy-on-the stomach form of metformin, but it\'s more expensive. All 3 are approved for PCOS. Talk to your doc!

While I don\'t have PCOS, my ovaries act like they do...meaning I have insulin resistant eggs, that were poor quality. Metformin really improved their quality (I got pregnant using it). It was a nasty little drug though. I finally resorted to taking it right before I went to bed each night. That way the majority of the side effects were slept off.
Good luck to you and I really hope the combo of weight loss and a modified drug plan work to make a miracle baby!

Thanks ladies. I did very good today. I did not over eat and I only had one sweet treat. I am going to really put my all into getting my body ready for my baby.
