Also found a 58 minute version of the piece.
My tires were $900+ including labor, NYS tire disposal fee & a once over for the car. Found out a piece of flex pipe in the exhaust is cracked & I have 2 bent rims. Sloan (my Audi guy) put the bent rims in the back- luckily, they balanced out just fine. Don't have to do anything about the flex pipe until it falls apart. Also, the valve cover gasket leaks. I saw that when I bought it. It's due for routine Audi service at 75k, I'm at 71k. I'll have the valve cover gasket changed then, along with the gasket for the cam shaft. $1600 for the routine required maintenance & 2 gaskets & additional labor. I had to buy an Audi. Oh, gotta do an oil change as well. Can't have a backyard mechanic do the simple stuff anymore. Audi has specific codes to reset when you do service. A non- Audi shop could do work, but not reset the computer. Sloan spent some time talking to me about the car. He asked how much I paid for it- $14,700. He said good job on the price, mileage & overall condition. He was even pleased when he personally test drove it after he serviced it today. I can even take it to North Carolina if I want to visit my sister. No mechanical worries at all.
Seeing the gyn for another followup tomorrow. Then Thursday for my once-monthly session at counseling. Friday is my only day off this week. LOL!
I slipped & fell today. Was walking down the ramp out of the shed & the ramp just fell to the ground. It jarred my spine- luckily I stayed upright. Had to take tylenol & sit down for a few hours. Feeling better now. I don't know what that bone doc was talking about- telling me supplements won't work to heal my bones & I have to take this black label drug (Forteo) to fix myself. If the supplements weren't working, I would have gotten a hairline fracture from how hard my right foot hit the ground.
Found out from hubby that his sister Lydia now has a spine fracture like me. I will be calling her to let her vent her fears & advise her if she's open to it.
