11/26/2014 Part 2
Wow! Thank you, (Joey) Keyz! I am humbled...
What a storm. Thankfully, the leaves are down so the wet snow didn't cause too much havoc where I live. And, lucky me, the power only blinked off once during the storm.
One of the neighborhood kids shoveled my driveway. He just moved in across the street & down a few houses. He asked for $5. I said sure. He did a good job & I paid him $10 & gave him a bottle of water. (Note to self- keep some $10's $20's in the house to pay for future shoveling.)
Hubby called me a little while ago. He got his generator installed & running in about an hour. Funny thing: during the installation process he called me to ask me to take the breaker panel off & tell him where to put the red wire. Ummm..., I think to myself, it must have an owner's manual & maybe his brand is different than mine? So, I gently suggested that he look at the owner's manual while I dig out a screwdriver & then he said never mind, he found it in the manual. I wonder how he's going to manage driving his sister to work in 7 inches of heavy, wet snow on bald rear tires in a rear wheel drive truck? God be with him & his sister...
We each are going through a grieving process of sorts. My PTSD counselor, Dawn, explained that people must grieve the loss of a marriage as they would the passing of a loved one, because it IS such a big change in your life. It's been easy to separate physically & separate our physical belongings & bank accounts & such. It has been a little harder to separate from each other emotionally, weirdly, I guess. We made such a good team, like when he was fixing something & I was helping I always knew what tool he needed next & stuff like that. I call him for advice & help still, just as he calls me for the same. We have made great strides, though. We don't rely on each other as much. We are teaching each other how to function independently from each other.
And still looking forward to my next session with my PTSD counselor to talk about why some people (past & present) feel the need to lie to me. Their Ego or my perceived vulnerability, perhaps? I dunno...
Happy Thanksgiving to all my DS Friends!

Happy Thanksgiving to you too.
You are very welcomed!
I\'m glad you didn\'t lose power like we did. I also lost all the food in my fridge. I think there are still some in NH that are without power. Prayers go out to them. What a wild few days!
Be well my dear,
Joey
