11/26/2014 It Is Snowing Like Mad!!!!!!!!
The weather people changed the forecast. Snow started around 9am & now we're supposed to get up to 18" here in the Catskills. And, just got a call from hubby. His power is out (he asks- do you have power? Yup) & now he's scrambling to install a generator. His sister is at his house now cooking for T-Giving tomorrow.
It baffles me, the difference in priorities between men & women. I am a woman alone, so I prepped waaaaay ahead of time. Men (at least the one I'm divorcing)- they follow through on what is important at the moment, not looking ahead. His new SUV is in the shop, his old SUV has bald tires on the back & he's promised to drive his sister to work tonight in snow that will be up to 18" deep. He did favors & helped the world (his personality quirk/trait/fault) for months on end & left looking for new tires until YESTERDAY. He could have bought the generator over the summer, it's not like it's a new idea to him. Oh- get this- I heard him on the phone last night (he helped prep my generator & transfer gas from 5 gallon cans to 1 gallon cans- I can lift those...) looking to buy a cord of wood. He doesn't have a wood stove, but I know a user "friend" of his that does (the landscaper business man that he just had to buy a commercial lawnmower for with my credit card & also loan him $80,000 to buy a food truck)... What an ass hubby is. Glad I'm divorcing him. No, that loan is not on me. Hubby signed a loan contract with his landscaper buddy after we split the lawsuit money & separated.
I will never get his internal prioritizing, why he has to lie to me about his dating profile (I don't give a shit that you need to get fucked), why about many things. I suppose he thinks I'm too delicate for the truth. Not so. The one time he actually DID tell the truth about something I did not freak out. Lying to me makes me want to... (fill in the blank), probably because a high percentage of the people in my life have & continue to lie to me. Must be a personality flaw of mine, that I attract liars. Gotta work on that with the counselor.
Gotta get dressed & start sweeping snow...

I think that they all read the same manual. How to be stupid in 5 easy steps. My ex did not believe in snow tires, until it snowed so much that he got stuck on our street. Me with snow tires was able to get out of the driveway and drive to work. And leave that snow alone. You cannot do it alone. You need either a snowblower or a plow. Just take care. hugs
Same here. It\'s really coming down heavy since about 11am. It\'s almost 5pm and it\'s still coming down heavy.I love the cold, but I can do without the snow. Oh well!
The men who exhibit lack of forethought usually had no childhood education for the basics in life from their parents. I made sure my boys were able to take care of themselves and multi task. I figured they could be picking my nursing home and needed them to have a brain!!!!!!
