Great day

I had a fantastic day with my son on Saturday.  While it wasn't "my weekend," I had taken him to the comic book store last weekend and they told him about an event this Saturday.  He wanted to go, and my Ex had no interest (geeky) so she said I could take him.

The day started with a walk along the CT River - beautiful weather.  Spring is here.  Then I got my son and we went to the comic store event and he had a great time.  After that, I brought him home and my Ex went with us to the bike store as he has outgrown his bike.  We bought him a new bike, and he was thrilled.  We got lunch together (it was civil) and then went back to the house so he could try out his bike.  I borrowed my step-daughter's bike and we went for a long ride (a few times around the long block).  He was thrilled and said the new bike was like riding on a cloud.

He asked me about going to see the new Avengers movie, and my Ex said I could take him later.  I took a nice nap, then picked him up and we went to the 7:00 movie.  We loved it.  I dropped him home and he told me it had been the best day.

Today I spent running errands and cleaning the apartment, but I'm still thinking about how thrilled he was.
