Sure is ironic. I quit smoking. into my 2nd week and I feel worse than when i smoked. My throat hurts, I have a slight fever and my spasticity and other symptoms are worsening. I wonder if it's because my throat hurts. A friend gave me Nicotrol, a nicotine inhaler, as a favor to help my quitting. First drag burned my throat, could be that. No more of that. The nurse told me it could have been my Avonex shot 2 days earlier. I cough more now too. But I know that I will get better, so I have still restrained from smoking (Thank you, Chantix!) I will get better. I think that there might be a connxn to infection as Romika advised in a discussion response. The bennies of this board here, (Thank you, DailyStrength!!). Anyway, all in all a good day. Even cool and feels great.

I\'ve always heard you cough more the first few weeks after quitting. It\'s your bodies way of getting rid of all the toxins. I\'m proud of you for quitting! Good luck with it and keep up the great work.
Good job quitting smoking. Stick with it!!
