A Better Day
So yesterday, work mercifully cooled down my temper & I was back to my reasonable self. H talked about what a pain the insurance company was (I guess they called 3 times to ask the same questions), so I asked, "So tell me: what did happen?" and he told me. Sounds like the person may have been in his blind spot--who knows?
Here is a funny irony that happened just now: even though we have very slight paint damage from the accident, the insurance company gave him $377 for repairs! (Though we really don't feel it needs it.) I laughed & said he should have accidents more often! (Don't really mean that, though! & we don't know what the premium impact will be) Anyway, that's the equivalent of one of his paychecks, so that'll be good. (Not to mention that I'll be getting a bonus this month.)
I was a little ticked with my kids last night though. D is planning on seeing a movie with a friend & I asked her to get the details/logistics, which she did--sort of. What she didn't do was tell us the friend was coming over last night to drop off the ticket (which is fine, but she needs to just let us know, especially with the dog being anti-strangers!). Then my son--I saw him all of 3 minutes yesterday & he was nasty all 3 minutes! Argh!
So today's a new day, but a boring one. Tomorrow should be good; my friend & her husband a renewing their vows for their 30th anniversary.
