I'm in the process of getting the evaluation scheduled for my son. However, it seems to be turning out to be a bigger, blown-up process than it probably needs to be. All I want to know is if he has Asperger's or not. Now, I know that it won't be like a quick check-up & there will be testing involved. But does he really need scads of paperwork & to be tested by 5 different people? And the person I've been talking to on the phone is new & seems to be clueless so far. Anyhow, I'm supposed to get an initial call, then have a consultation visit just with myself first. Hopefully I can make an intelligent decision based on all this. FB-chatted w/my sister yesterday. Didn't confront there, since I feel this is best done over the phone or in person. As it was, she misinterpreted a compliment I gave her in chat. (Not a big deal, but an example of how different it is on-line.) Also, my mom is on Facebook now! She hasn't friended me (yet). But she's not technically savvy & mainly went on to see some of her cousin's pictures. So my sisters & I are safe from constant "comments". (Oh, yes, I'm researching my seurity settings!!)
