Green Smiley Monday
I decided to call in sick today. All day Friday at work all I heard was everyone's plans for Mother's Day & I know all day today I would have heard all about how everyone's Mother's Day was. So no thanks, not dealing with it.
My green smiley is that I am blessed to have a job with good benefits such as sick time.
I hope all is well with my friends and that yesterday was peaceful for you at least.
Much love, Linda

Kudos to you for knowing what you needed and for making it happen!! I too am thankful you have a job with benefits which allow you wiggle room to take care of YOU.
GOOD JOB BEAUTIFUL!!!
Love and peace and positive energy~~
I\'m so glad you were able to do it. I took 3 hours of vacation time Friday afternoon for the same reasons. Most everyone I work with is comfortable talking about all that around me and I\'m glad to hear their happiness...but then it gets to be just too much. Yesterday, one of the worst things that happened was one of the insensitive men happily asking how was your Mothers Day...to me. I sort of mumbled ok as my eyes filed with tears...wasn\'t prepared for that one. REALLY?! Big understanding hugs, Valerie
You are lucky to have sick time,, and yesterday was a good day to take off... love ya!
Those mental health days are vital and I\'m so glad that you took one. Best medicine for your soul ever dear Linda. Now, that\'s self care my friend! Way to go. :)
Hoping today is a gentle one and grateful that it will be a year before we have to have all those \"Hallmark moments\" popping all around us.
Much love my friend to handsome Ed and to his amazing mom.
XO Joanie
good for you dear friend, protect your heart and mental health at the same time. I can\'t believe we\'ve survived another one of these commercial holidays, full of fake feelings! We should have a special one for berieved mothers, where we can stay in bed and grieve. Love You, Abby
Well done! I hope you have a good rest and have time for your understandable feelings for this time of year. xxxxx
What a wise decision! I hope you are having a great Monday. Hugs, M
We all need a day, now and then, just to ourselves and NOT be really sick. I too am blessed with a job that gives me sick leave. I usually work when I am sick and take those days when I just need some time for ME. I hope you rested well and took time to pamper yourself. Hugs.
Peace.
Great choice dear Linda...great choice
Yep....I skipped the Mother\'s Day stuff and treated myself to an Il Divo Concert in Omaha. It was wonderful. My friend and I also took in their Zoo! It is huge. I came home feeling so happy and refreshed but it is beginning to fade...I really do understand trying to stay away from the chattering about it...I kills me inside and then they launch into their grandchildren and they might as well turn the knife....SO I say hurray for you and I hope you treated yourself to to down time maybe a massage or a Manney - Peddie. :D I hear you and understand...
Linda, good for you! We have to do what feels right for us! I\'ve been doing that more and more lately. When I need to take a break for a day from work or just get away from my desk for a while, I just do it. It lets out some of the pent up stress. Hope the rest of your week is going well! Love and hugs, Diane
Congrates on the day off. I work in a Dr\'s office Mondays are very busy, Co-workes asked how I faired on Mothers Day which is a differant way of asking how well did I handle it..... I went around asking about their day and moving on before they returned the question ( must be fast on feet) LOL
Hugs Penny
