Green Smiley Monday
Hi everyone,
Just getting a jump on a green smiley Monday. My friend Elly gave me a book of poems, quotes and thoughts. She is very thoughtful and has given me small gifts (that are really huge gifts) like books & journals since Eddie died. Her caring has helped a lot! I read one that I wanted to share and I hope you enjoy it.
WHEN THE TASK AT HAND IS A MOUNTAIN IN FRONT OF YOU
When the task at hand is a mountain in front of you,
it may seem to hard to climb. But you don't have to climb it all at once,
Just one step at a time.
Take one small step..
and one small step..
then another..
And you'll find..the task at hand that was a mountain in front of you..
..is a mountain you have climbed.

I wish you a good and peaceful week. Love, Linda

We can climb that mountain and we can make it a positive adventure.

I feel blessed to be climbing mountains with such wonderful \"climbers\".
Truly lovely! That certainly is the only way to climb a mountain ~ one foot in front of the other. It doesn\'t matter how long it takes (even a lifetime!) as long as we keep forging on!
Thinking of you on this beautiful spring Monday and sending much love to you and wonderful Ed ~ Debbie
JUST BEAUTIFUL AND SO TRUE. I HOPE YOU HAVE A GOOD WEEK AND BLESS YOUR SWEET ANGEL EDDIE LOTS OF WARM HUGS AND LOVE MARY ANN
Love it! It is like walking the Camino de Santiago. It looked daunting at the outset! Every day is a small step.
Hugs, Marlene
So very true, Linda! Thank you for sharing this. May you also have a good and peaceful week! Love and Big Hugs, Diane
This is a beautiful poem. And so true. All of us on FMO are going through our nightmares one day at a time, one step at a time, one mountain at a time. We each have our individual nightmares yet they really are all the same, missing our beloved son or daughter, fear of what might happen to someone else we love, questions about eternity. Hand in hand we go up those mountains. Love to you Linda and to Ed. Terry
I love this, Linda...so very true when starting out on this grief journey as it seems like it cannot be done at first, as it seems as if it\'s too enormous an uphill walk to take (and yes, we DO go up a mountain of pain and struggle!). Even Jesus told us to essentially \"take one day at a time\"
New International Version (1984)
\"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.\" Matthew 6:34
Very similar to that saying \"A journey of a thousand miles, starts with one step.\" Being willing to walk the journey is a key aspect to starting to heal...
Praying for continued healing for you and all Moms on FMO...Love, Donna
Thank you for sharing this, Linda. The mountains that we have climbed and gotten over make the rest of them seem not so big at all. Love, Belinda
1FIFOTO ... 1 Foot In Front Of The Other... on we go!
Holding you in my heart, Linda love. Hoping this week is gentle for Ed\'s beautiful Mom.
My mountain climbing legs have strengthened over the years yet so have my hands and heart. Thankful for each of you that have held my hand and my heart when it felt impossible for me to do both.
What a beautiful quote and such a dear friend to be companioning you, Linda. Those \"little\" things are indeed such BIG ones!
Love to you and darling Ed and hopeful this week is unfolding just as it needs to.
XO Joanie
