dreams

Yesterday I had to take my "mother" (those of you have known me for a while know my"mother" is difficult at best) out to do shopping & other errands. I see her as little as possible since her cruelty reached new heights after Eddie passed away & I just cannot be around her in order to preserve what is left of my sanity, lol. While I was with her in the drugstore & she was ordering me around, there it was. A penny from Heaven, in my path just when I needed it. Ed was with me. He was my biggest support with my mother. She wasn't even good to him, her first grandchild.
THen last night I dreamt of Ed. In the dream he called me on the phone. He said, "Hi, Ma?" I said, "Yes, is it really you?" He said yes. I asked him how he was and he said,"I'm fine. I'm resting".
The next scene in the dream is that Ed was lying down like on a futon mat?! (the only way I can think to describe it). It was the color blue. I was sitting next to him and I asked Ed how he was feeling. He said, "I'm fine. All my injuries are gone.. I'm just resting." I asked him if he wanted a pillow (he didn't have one). He said,"no, I'm perfectly comfortable, perfectly fine." Then Ken was calling me so somehow we communicated that I had to go with him and it was ok to do so. I said, "Ed, are the pennies from you?" He said, "yes".
I am thrilled to have a dream/visit, but a bit confused by it & left with that sense of longing for more....I have been thinking a lot about Ed's upcoming angel date (9/4) and his birthday right after, (9/22). I must remember what my sweet and wise friend here Colleen (Jeff's mom) told me she said "these are visits, not keeps." Thank you Colleen.
If any  of my friends here have any ideas on what Ed is trying to tell me I welcome your thoughts. Love and peace to all, Linda

WoW Linda, I truely believe Ed wants you to know he is doing ok..His exact words were perfectly comfortable, perfectly fine..Ed wants you to feel the same way, as he feels, and to not let your mother upset you anymore.. Linda, you and Ed had a special bond between the two of you. I so much believe Ed knows you, and so much needed to hear those words, to strengthen and comfort you.. Hang on to those words, I love you, Kelly

How wonderful, Linda to have a visit from Ken. He\'s so tuned into you and just seems to know when that extra lift is needed. Your visit is rich in symbolism. Blue is a color that embraces rest. Think of the sky and the oceans and how often blue is used in rooms where people want a sense of calming and peace. Trustworthiness, dependability, committed... all of these attributes are tied to this color. I believe it was Belinda (Binky) who also finds pennies from Michael and mentioned how on the penny it says: \"In God We Trust.\" Just surrendering all that we cannot know to our Higher Power, perhaps.

I\'m just so happy that you had this visit and dear Colleen... I\'ve remembered her words too yet we do long for more don\'t we? How could we not?

Glad you \"survived\" your day with your mother and dear Ed to let you know that he\'s with you every step of the way.

Love to you, to Ed, and thank you for sharing your happening with us. XO Joanie

Yikes... I meant \" a visit from Ed.\" Forgive my lack of brain power early in the A.M. I also should learn to proofread... :)

My daughter, April, said in her letter to me \"I\'m going to God now, to REST.\"

Ken is RESTING. He\'s recovering from a difficult internal life, he doesn\'t need a pillow, his head is resting in the lap of God. That was a wonderful visit you had. I wish I could have one, maybe as my grief lessens the veil will lift long enough for that to happen. And I had to laugh when I saw the quotes around the word \"Mother\" because that\'s how I think of, and refer to, my own \"mother\" who left this world at age 95 on, of all days, Mother\'s Day 2010. April and I had what I thought was a good day together that day, Mae\'s death (that was my \"mother\'s\" name) on that day was a portent and just like her. She was self focused, vain, not physically affectionate. Sometimes I hear myself say something and the voice sounds like hers, MY voice sounds like hers. Oh how I hate that. Love to you.

Linda, I believe God is the sender of messages through our children in these dreams. I know Ed is at peace and resting in the love of God right where he is in heaven. God wants you to know that Ed is doing better than ever. I love that you had this dream...I have one that Natalie told me she had and will share in my journal. It was sad and bittersweet but very important. I DO believe we have dreams for a reason. I am very uplifted by your dream of Ed. I don\'t know where the pennies from heaven thing started but NOW it means something to me to find one...and you found one in just the right time....a sign that Ed sent. You are an angel to minister to your mother\'s needs even when it is most uncomfortable. My heart will be with you on Ed\'s upcoming angel date.....much love and prayers...dale, brandon\'s mom

Dearest Linda, I know how much these visits from your precious Ed mean to you....it seems he comes just at the time when you need him most.I know how they stir your heart and emotions...so thankful, yet leaving you longing for more. The few I have had from Mitch left me feeling as though I had truly been in his presence only to wake and want him to be here so I could hold him, touch him and hear his mischiveous laughter....he was always up to something fun.Maybe Ed is simply trying to communicate with you that he is THERE...there with you when you need him.Remember although I\'m not able to be here much, you and Ed are always in my heart and thoughts, Love To You Dear Friend, Charlene

Your boys are watching out for you...Can\'t figure out how or why or mom\'s or in my case MIL, though lately my mom is getting just as bad, can be so very cruel and not even realize it. I have told my girls if I ever get that way to just shoot me and put us all out of the misery. LOL Hugs, Ann

Oh Linda...your dream visit from Ed warms my heart. I love the penny...another wonderful sign put in your path just when you needed it (along with a smile I bet). I agree with so many others...I think Ed just wants you to know he\'s comfortable and in no pain...that he\'s with you, sees and hears you, loves you. Sending extra love and care to you for the days ahead, Valerie

\"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.\"

That is the rest that is the most beautiful, the most cosmic, the most perfect. I take it to mean PEACE.

Beautiful dreaming, dear Linda.

I don,t know what to say i think the penny must have been from Eddie letting you know he is happy , life is good for him in heaven it was his only way and through your dream he can communicate with you. he is not earthly bound no more so to break through that barrier of heaven and earth. it was hard for him to get that penny here for you to find it. my daughter has done things right after she passed that we knew it was her , we felt her presence then she had not made it to heaven yet the soull still remains for awhile that is my understanding hugs mary ann
