Thanks

I just want to take a moment & thank all of you wonderful moms here at FMO for your kind wishes for peace & sweet memories on Eddie's birthday. I showed my grandchildren your responses to my journal & they were very touched by the caring & kindness that all of you expressed. It is empowering to know that so many people are sending us love, light & prayers.
My granddaughter has given me permission to tell friends that she & her boyfriend are expecting a child. She didn't want to say anything until she was fairly certain that her pregnancy was developing normally. She is only 18 so I'm concerned. I wish she was a little older but the baby is coming ready or not. Her due date is 2/9/11. She will be almost 19 when the baby is born (still young, but we'll help them). She had the ultrasound that tells you the sex of the baby yesterday, She asked her doctor to schedule the test on Eddie's birthday because she thought it would make a sad day happier. It is a girl. Christina & Eddie had always talked about the day she would have a son or a daughter & she & Eddie liked the name Isabella, so that is the name they picked. As the technician announced that the baby is a girl Christina cried & said, "Its bittersweet, Daddy should be here."  I said, "I know". When Christina first got pregnant she told me that she didn't even want to be alive until she found out she was pregnant. I think she got pregnant to fill the emptyness without her Dad. But babies are a blessing & we will rally around her & her boyfriend.
The rest of the day was peaceful. We brought flowers to the cemetery & came back to my house & had brunch & I can see that we are beginning to heal. Compared to last year on his birthday. I was so depressed that I couldn't get out of bed for 2 days.
Well here's to healing. Love you Eddie!!
Love & peace to all of you.
