Well I have been trying to get some of these boxes unpacked today but it seems like I am not making much progress. We had to buy another washing machine and they delivered it today,so I had to stop everything and make a path through the garage so they could bring it into the house that way. Then after they left I washed some clothes that the other machine would not get as clean as I thought they should have been. Then I started to get some of the shelves up in the garage so that all my stuff would maybe fit.It is something when you try and cram all the stuff you had in a 1300sq ft home into a 900 sq ft duplex.Needless to say we had to have a garage sale before we moved here and it is looking like we might have to have another one just so that we won`t be so crowded.I guess that all the years that we lived in a 1600sq ft house with a 900sq ft basement sort of spoiled us with all the extra space and stuff that we aquired over the years,it just makes it hard to get rid of so much. Some of it we think we need but then if you think about it then you start to thinking that maybe we just think we need it and really don`t.It dosen`t make it any easier to sell it but if you haven`t used it in two years then do you really need it?Which bring`s up another thing about being here in New Mexico,Saturday was our garage sale and we were going to have it for two day`s.Little did we know that garage sale`s here are a lot different than they are in Colorado. There you have your sale starting on Friday evening and go through Sunday and you might get lucky enough to sell maybe half of what you wanted to and then have to put the rest in storage. Here we opened on Saturday morning{9 am-3pm is what we advertised}.I dropped Brendy off at the house and started to put the signs out and before I could get two signs put up Brendy was calling me to forget the signs and come help because the garage was packed with people and she coul not answer all the questions and take there money fast enough. When I got back to the house there was about forty people in our garage and it was just a frenzy until about 12 O`clock and there was not enough left to open it up for Sunday so we just gave what clothes that was left to good will and we still put a big wad of cash in the bank on Monday morning. All in all the garage sale lasted six hours before we closed the door and said that was it we were done,it took longer for me to put the things together for the sale than it did to sell it.The one bad thing about us moving is that we really liked living in the house where we were and the peacefulness of the neighborhood, but I guess it will be better for both of us since it is such a small place then maybe we won`t be so tempted to buy more stuff andit should be an experance for Brendy to have to live in a smaller place.I say that because when she was in High School she had her own room and they lived in a fairly big home in the north part of town,me I lived in a small place until we got married and then for about two years after but since then we have lived in somewhat larger places with big yards and even bigger bills to pay.Maybe now we can save some cash....lol....Later,Monte
