Well today starts another week, hopfuly it will be better that last week.so far not much happening here.We might go out after awhile and look at some tuff sheds to see if we can get them cheaper from the dealer here instead of getting them to send one from Lubbock and then have to pay for an overnight stay for the crew and 5 grand for concrete just for the garage floor.I think I would rather do it myself than pay that much, bye the time you add up what the garage cost to the concrete and the over night pay the garage is going to cost 20 grond. That is way to much if you ask me.We have talked about doing the concrete ourselves, but then agian I don`t know if I should be doing that much work,or even if I can.I would like to say that I can but I can`t do a lot of things that I used to.One of them is just picking up stuff off the ground that is not very heavy,I did that when we had the tornado`s and let me tell you I was in pain for a long time after doing it.Granted some of it was lifting more than what I was supposed to but when you are doing something like that you just can`t weigh everything you pick up.And of course there are times when you can`t rely on some one else to do it for you so you have to bite the bullet and do it yourself, knowing that you are going to pay for it later. So what do you do,let it set there for weeks and no one does anything or do you dig in and start working on it and hope that some one comes along and helps????I don`t know about everyone else but if there is a job to be done I can`t sit around and hope it get`s done I haver to jump in and start doing something even if I know that I am not supposed to because I will be in pain for at least one week maybe more, depending on what I have to do.I love my family but when I am trying to work on something like this they want to step in and tell me that I can`t or shouldn`t be doing it,but then if I don`t do it who is going to.I haven`t seen anyone volunteer to do it for me or to even help me do it .So what choice do I have but to roll up my sleeves and jump in there and get it done.Like the cable guy say`s Get-r-done.Our nephew that we were trying to adopt would help but he lives in Arizona and can`t come out here to help.Brendy`s family is basicaly useless when it comes to doing something like this. And my Mom and Dad shouldn`t be doing anything like this, and my brother can hardly walk after he get`s off work so I don`t want to ask him for help.I guess I am stuck with having to do it or try and hire some of it done. Then there is the problem of how much is the bank going to loan on something like this. Will it cover all the cost to get it done or will I have to get another loan to cover all the extra cost of all the little things that add up to be big things.Sorry I went on about all that we are trying to get done here but it does get frustrating when at every turn some one say`s YOU can`t do this or that but then they don`t want to help or just will not help period.I am going to go and see if I can get some things done now so I will write more later.Monte

i don\'t think you should try to do the slab yourself. first you have to dig and level out the ground and dig the hole down ever how many inches of cement you want. then you have to square it off with 2x4\'s and they have to have spikes hammerred into the ground to keep it square. then you have to put in all the rebarb and that may need to be wired together in places. have i discouraged you yet from trying to do this yourself? i sure hope so, because poring a slab is hard back breaking work...xoxo...debbie
