I played with Baxter for about two hours this morning while I was cleaning the garage up,vacuming in out and trying to rearange some things in it.I have an old basketball and it needed to be aired up so I got the pump out and started to pump it up and Baxter had other ideas about it,he made me break the needle off inside the ball and what air that was in it was gone.As it turned out Baxter likes playing with the flat basketball,he kicks it around with his front feet and then he tries to sit on it and when he can`t do that he will kick it and then chase it by himself so all I have to do is keep him and the ball out of the street,it was funny just watching him play for that long without anyone playing with him.We took my brother over to this place here in town to look at a Patriot modular home,he was suprised at how good the construction of it was.I thought it would be too expensive for us to afford but it is cheaper than some of the homes that we have looked at here.I still can`t believe how much they are asking for some of these houses here in Clovis.If they were in Denver then I could see them wanting over 100,000 dollars for two bedroom,1 1/2 bath homes.But there is no way they should be that high priced here,I mean the economy here is not even close to what it is even in Lubbock.If it was somewhere close to that kind of economy then I could maybe see it but it is not even close.I think the economy here is stuck some where in the 1980`s as far as someone being able to make a living and having anything to spare.There is nothing here for anyone to do on the week-ends except load up the family wagon and head to either Ute Lake or Lake Ft.Sumner,both over 90 miles away.Or going to Lubbock or Amarillo to shop or go to a movie,the movie theater here sucks unless you get into one of the newer theater rooms.Most of the time they don`t even have any good movies showing.At one time they had almost every one of the theaters here showing gore movies and I hate that kind of movies.I guess I`m just being kind of negative about everything today.I know football season is about to start but I like the Bronco`s and they don`t show as many of there games here as I would like,they show the Cowboy`s and ever since they did Landry the way they did I would rather watch something else,besides the Bronco`s are the team that I like and I guess I will have to see if I can talk them into getting me a package that only shows the Bronco`s.Fat chance of that happening.I did call one of our friend`s that lives in Castle Rock,Co.todaay and they said that where we used to live has grown so much that we would probably not know jow to get to our old house,but after living there for as long as we did I don`t think that is possible,they did say that they have done a lot of road improvements and have went ahead with a big by-pass street that we had voted for when we were still up there.They now have two High Schools and the whole area has grown real big.Well guess I will go and see what Brendy and Baxter are up to,maybe I can talk them into going for a walk.Later.M.
