Went to my Mom & Dad`s today and my brother and his wife came also.We went in together and got Dad a metal detector and first thing he said was let`s go and find that cannon that we had looked for when Harvey and  I were 12 &13 years old.It is supposed to be north of Tucumcari,New Mexico,it was lost crossing some creek before the Civil War and was never found,sunk in quicksand.A friend of ours had a metal detector so we all went looking for it but all we found was some old barb wire and an Iorn bed stead,we spent all day looking and that was all we could come up with.Of coursethat was back in the sixties when metal detectors weren`t very good,so maybe........lol.........I don`t think that I am up for it right now.We even went over to Brendy`s Dad`s place today and visited with him for awhile.Haven`t done much of anything  at all since.I did watch a Formula 1 race this morning[used to want to be a race car driver].When we lived in Colorado there was a Grand Prix go cart track there and I would go and race them but that is as close to legal racing that I got.I once raced a friend `s car and beat this guy who had a really hot car here in town,it was fun and the guy got so mad because he used to drag race over in Amarillo at the drag`s and couldn`t believe that I blew his doors off with a borrowed car.I was alway`s good at racing.I guess I should have went to racing school,but hind sight ....lol....is alway`s 20/20.Well guess I will go for now,talk more later.M.
