I just realized that the members of the Syringomyelia group of which there are only 12 members, that I`m the only guy in the bunch.I just wonder if there are not that many men that have been diagnosed or are the men just too stuborn to admit that anything is wrong with them? I know that if I had not been diagnosed by my doc and had surgery that I would never have known anything about SM.I`m just courious, kind of strange that I`m the only man with this problem.I know from talking with my nero-doc that it is a rare deasease. But he did not limit it to just women, and I know for a fact that there are teenagers, male & female that have it.I know you don`t grow out of it either so come on you guy`s you need to get with the program here and get on this community also.I`m not saying that I don`t like being the only guy on here but it just seems strange that I am the lone guy here.Just thinking out loud and wondering why.I was told that because of SM that the pain will never go away[which is the truth] It just eases up a little and then before you know what hit you, your in so much pain that it even hurt`s to breath let alone try to do anything.Well this has just been some of my thought`s on the subject,I hope that I didn`t scare anyone off because we need all the input we can get here. Will write more later.M.
