I watched one of my DVD`s on SM last night,they had some case studies that were a lot worse than mine ,one guy had a syrnix C7 to the base of his brain.Anyway the guy was paralized,after they did a shunt on the syrnix,they said that he has the use of his arm`s and hand`s back.So there is some hope for those of us who have this condition.One of theDVD`s is a question and answer session at the 2006 ASAP convention in Denver.It should answer some questions and maybe help me to talk to my doctor the next time I go.I really advise anyone that has Syringomyelia or Chiari to contact ASAP and get more information on what is new in the way of treatment`s and surgery.Well I`m going to go for now see you later.
