Hi Joe
After mt first mi I was on toprol and I had the same feelings, just tired all the time. It was caused by the toprol because what it does is to slow down the heart. Sometimes the cure is worse than the disease. I was on 75 mg of toprol and now I\'m on coreg 6.25 mg and lisinopril 2,5 mg and i feel much better. I would ask the doctor if you can change to a different medication

Thanks, I did ask about changing medication and he said Toprol was the only option for me right now. Considering how bad my blood pressure has been and the damage from a dissection...Errrr...Oh, well....Thanks for the input Joe...I hope you are doing well....

Hi Bicho
Yes, I\'m very different since my MI. One of my favorite songs is \"I\'ll Never Be the Same Again.\" It\'s actually a Christian song talking about how I\'ll never be the same again since I found Christ, but it speaks to me on MANY levels. I was soooooo tired for at least the first year. I got tired easily and really had to watch it. I still get very tired at times and I really have to pace myself, otherwise I overdo it and and crash, spending a weekend just trying to rest up enough to get to work on Monday. I don\'t know how long ago you had your MI, and the meds you spoke of probably contribute to your tiredness. Perhaps in time with some healing your MD might can switch you to another med. Hang in there! It will get better, and even though I\'m sometimes tired I\'m so glad to be alive. I know you are too.
