Yepp, DJ, he had some money... it was like 35 degrees, foggy, nuttin happenin, he wants to go to the MALL... Oh what the hey so we off... Gee them Folks at Game Stopp... so nice.. and boy... he so quick... I am stupid... id dee it... sucker... Okay maybe just easy lol... boy got 20 dollars he picks a game that cost 19.99, says hold dis... then he say Hey dad... I found the game I want but it cost 24.95....

Yepp he's game... and off we go... Saturday nite din din at the old country buffet... gift cars for for ten dollars a piece... dinner cost 10.74.... so I'm out 2.77 for chow... how cool is that hun.... last week dinner was less than nine dollar a piece lol... tax on eatin out what a hoot...

Well when we got outta the buffet.. the storm had hit... all that melted snow had frozen... the roads were slicker dan slick... and the roads were packed... just like the mall... it's like five miles from Onalaska to West Salem... well half way there some one done the dashin thru the snow and traffic was shut down for a while... traffic was backed up all the way to Onalaska which was like about two miles back behind me... so we sat there and burned the high dollar gass to stay warm... then finaly we were off...
Drivin in snow is one thing... but ice covered roads are a pain...boy was just plan scared... me I was tense...but hey long as I can keep it movin and on the road... I learned to drive in snow in North Dakota... dis aint much snow lol...just slick ice... bad enuff... had to crawl along... cause ya don't wanna hurry in this stuff... but goin over the Mindoro Cut was my biggest concern... I'm doin like 25 mph so I turn on my flashers... boy wants to know why lol...
Duh... I only doing 25 boy I'm warnin folks I goin slow.. way slow pretty soon we all alone on the road so i just turn off the flashers... we made it home without any problems... thank you Lord... thanky thanky thanky.... you bet ya boots I'm grateful... so today I aint goin nowhere...nope side I can't dig myself out of the drive lol... broke my snow shovel...might bundle up and go play with the snow blower... i been wantin to drive that thingy lol just wonder if i got the getty up lol... well aint now reason to worry...
Okay I didn't wait till new years to start praticein starvin... last nite I had a piece of steak, two little fish thingys...green beans...small helpin veggie chow mein...five tater wedges...satated mushroom on de steak...no salt...diet coke...bake potatoe..(see i can spell it lol)... DJ ate two plates of stuff while I munched thru my viddles... then I had desert... taco salad...small...some beats...tried some kinda brocilli salad, just as small spoon.. and a slice of pizza lol... yepp too much huh... they was really small helpins... I was kinda proud of my self... cause I use to eat like three plates pilled high with everything in the joint... yepp... that's why it's call buffet rite...?
I still aint figured out why a kid will lie to ya point blank range.... DJ was eatin icecream... and he puts like half a bowl in his mouth... an I'mma think hey BRAIN FREEZE... so second later he rubbs his forehead, and his left eye like... well ya know brain freeze when ya see it Rite....

As you can see me and my son we carry on some very intelligent conversations at times...
One thing I did notice... DJ ate some decent food, before he hit the sweets... use to just pig out on sweets... and I also noticed he takes a lot less now so maybe he is learning... told me he wished he could stay 17 for a couple more years...
Yeah rite so ya can mooch off dad... lol... okay I'm teasin... he missed the hint lol... but down deep I wished he could stay 17 forever... makes me feel so nice he enjoys being with his old dad...
That's nice to me... Cause I never felt loved or wanted at home...growin up was a pain... for reall all the beatins and cussins and well.... to have my son say he likes being at home makes me feel good... like I did good ....
Well three outt four aint bad... Me and my oldest daughter were at ends for a while... but had to run the other two off with a stick lol... I'm teasin but he they lived with dad off an on a lot since they were grown...and I loved it... yeah I grumped and complained but i loved havin at home... specialy the grandkids... long as they looked after their own affairs... taught em to stand on their own two feet... and all of em are... standin tall...doin good.. I am blessed...
now I need to get dressed least some socks for my feet lol..

I\'m sorry you had a bad childhood, but it seems to have made you into a great dad, so if there is anything good that come out of it, it is that your kids are blessed to have you as a dad. I wish I could have been your son for just a few hours last night, seeing as how you all went to the Old Country Buffett, LOL. I love that place, but we don\'t have any around here. The nearest one is in Virginia, about an hour away. I think you missed your calling in life. You should have been a song writer, as them songs you wrote at the start of your journal were great.
