GOOD MOANIN FRIENDS...

TODAY IS VETERAN DAY:

Reckon if I'm gonna blog about it I should be able to spell it...
Veterans yepper just like that...

I really wish I could find some humor to share, but when it comes to Veterans, I have been and seen the ugly side of life after service...
Not me so much, but others I see at the VA, some being dragged out of the clinic by on sight security personal... man just look at some of these guys and they toss ya out..
Then tossed me out for being loud...LOUD...I'd of liked to plant some flower in his butt with my foot... but hey, ifins I'd be healthy enuff to do that, I'd of been home where I was wantin to be.

So I'm bettin ifins ya a veteran, you know what I'm talkin about... Not all states are the same, well maybe, My father in-law was a P O W of world war two...
Told me all about how him and another fellow had escaped for a prison camp over there... they avoided capture for two weeks, eatin potatoes they found buried in these pits... any who.. them mean old Nazi fellow found em and took em back to camp. Next day they loaded everyone in some truck and hauled up out to this pasture and made em get out...
My father in-law was makin peace with his maker cause he was so sure this was the end of the line..he'd seen it before... take em out.. well ya get the picture..
Well he waited for the first shot, no one moved, finally he looked behind him and the germans were leavin...just got in the trucks and drove away.
He couldn't believe his eyes..
Then he heard something... more trucks were coming...
It was the American forces coming to pick em up...
The war was over...
As far as I know I'm the only one he told that story to... because I'm a veteran, and I was on his butt to go to the VA for his medical needs... and he did... and they treated him with respect up there in Kansas...
Then he quit going... wonder why...

Well in Texas, I didn't like the VA so much... I was green team... yepper and I was NOT service connected...
Wonder what that means anyway... you get rejections better I guess I know some service connected fellow veteran... they were just as unhappy as I was...
Those signs We Care... should read Shut up and Go HOME...!
that how it felt anyway...

I aint sayin run up and hug a homeless Veteran, that might not be wise.... nope... but if ya know a Veteran, like a hubby or wifey or brother or sister....
GIVE EM A BIG OLD HUG AND TELL EM THANK YOU...
If you see em being miss treated write you congressman and complain... raise Hell and kick and scream about the system that don't work, praise those that do...

TODAY IS VETERANS DAY...
IF YOU IS A VETERAN AND READING THIS
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU...
BECAUSE OF YOU I CAN STILL ENJOY MY FREEDOMS AS AN AMERICAN CITIZEN..... MAY GOD BLESS YOU WITH MANY BLESSING

I was born late in life to my parents. My mother was my dads second wife,he was my moms only marriage.

My dad was a marine in WW1.He inlisted when he was only 17 years old.He was trained and shipped over seas and fought for our country leaving as a boy, returning as a man.He caught some awful type of pnuemonia overseas and almost died.A lot of the men did die that he shared a ward with.He was the only survivor of that particular day.
They dont make men like my old dad anymore.Hes been gone since 1972.
I remember sitting in his lap as a little girl whne he was in his 50\'s with white hair. ;)) my oh my how I loved him..

My first husband served in the army overseas. My late husband was a diehard marine drill sargent. He served most all his time over seas too.

I have much respect for what our troups do for our country.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!
