Come along and listen about a place I know
Down in Tenneses where the tall cane groww
Hidden from the world in a bunch of Pine
Where the Moons a little bashful and it seldom shines

Civilized people live there alright
but they all go native on a saturday night.

Music is a fiddle and a cracked guitar
Get their kicks from an old fruit jar
Every body knows they better act just right
are theres gonna be a funeral on a saturday night

Heck of a song to have stuck in my head this moanin...Tenenses Saturday Night... forgot the name of the author.. Oh well it was a long time ago.

Can't remember the whole song any more, heck I have a hard time remembering Honky Tonk Man. God know I played em and sang em enough times thought I'd never forget.
These old hands don't much like it when I play the guitar no more...
Oh once in a grreat while I pull it off the wall and strum a few cords. Have to use a listening device to hear myself play, excuses excuses i reckon...

i grew up on Hank Songs, then in my early adult years Hank Jr. riding his horses and shootin his guns... oh well, Willy, Walon and Merle were among a few of my favorites,

Funny how I use to sing hey hey workin man workin man like me, aint never been on Welfare that's one place i wont be cause I'll be workin.... Long as these two hands are fit to use.... Drink a little beer in a tavern , sing a little bit of these workin man blues....... who knew lol...

I really like to find a CD of Jim Stafford, or is it Stanford, gotta get out my old highschool year book to be certain.

i had a 8 track tape of his, wild wood weed, back water hattey, Loved his guitar style... bet he don't remember me lol... or Round Rock highschool... He might... wonder if he was thinking about brushy creek when he wrote I don't like spiders and snakes.....

Every song tells a story, sometimes you have to read between the lines. It's been around for a very long time singing has... A song in our hearts and a smile on our face, that's worth a million... well i'm gonna get my coffee now and take my meds.

Well best wishes to ya all, Russ...
