Well, gee whizz these wet rainy days sure make a fellow blue.
sittin at the computer with nothing to do.
Sun wont shine so I can't smile.
so just sit here for a while.
Maybe I'll take a afternoon snooze,
what the hay I got to loose.
No one here to dry my tears,
cried a river over the years.
The river I cried runs swift and deep,
the banks are muddy, brittle and steep.
This aint the place to come and fish,
it's just a place to cry and wish.
Sometimes a cry can clear the air,
you leave the river feeling fair.
It's to soon to really tell,
but I know this river really well.
Okay so I got inspired, silly me lol.
Yeah I coppied it down, named it River of tears lol... I know it's not manly to cry. Hey every tear jerking movie and song sets me off. Not like it's enuff if I think of my mom or dad, oh booo whoooo, it do to set me off If I dwell on my parents too much.
Boy last nite the lite-N was flashing and the nite sky was alite with bouts of white fire. My po little doggy was hidin under the covers shivering like a rag in a high wind. Every time I'd here a pop, she'd snuggle closer to my leg. This is some kinda of spooky little doggy. Ya'll don't know it but some one was mean to this little friend of mine before I got her... I don't even like to scold her much, she hides so long. Yepp that's my little buddy, doggy she so cute, she afraid of her own shadow, gotta love her. She aint never far from my side.
Well I didnt get old V-ger on the road yet, rainy and nasty outside. I didnt even go pick up my meds today or yesterday cause of the rain. just don't feel like drivin...Just kinda wish I was cuddled up in bed with a sweety, cuddling and talking about what we gonna do when the sun come out lol... Oh well, wonder what the good folks in Florence Texas would say about me today lol. Actually I never heard anyone that lived in Florence talk to bad about me. Cept me ex lol... boy lets let that sleepin dog lie lol.. sometimes i kinda miss Texas, not a lot, but hey I did grow up down there. Little town called Jollyville, had a three room school when I first moved there. The boys and the girls weren't allowed to play together out side, we each had our own side to play on. Then the world changed. Wow, They tore that old school house down all except the lunch room and princpal office. Built a brand spankin new elementary school Now Jollyville had a new Pond Springs elementary. Well it was still there last time I drove by back in the 90's. It's was not a part of the greater Austin area.
Wonder what old George did with that Bullet train he bought for texas lol...Heard it got hung up over some burial grounds that was found along the route that was picke for it... Well it was a used Bullet train, probably rustin away under the Texas sun, some where between Manor and Austin lol... I'm just guessin of course. High speed railway, why high speed, cause it cost the tax payers a high dollar that went faster than the dam train lol... money like madza zoom zoom, amazing what they spend the tax dollar on. As long as it isn't to benefit the American Citizen, Yeah ya heard me... nuff dis chit...
Blame it on the rain...
The rain is a pain.
If it aint the rain, it's heat, yeppers heat, kind you can see raising up off the ground like a shimmering wave of clear plasma, so dense you can't see thru it. You can fry more than an egg on those hot Texas side walks, WE cooked a T-bone once just to see if we could. By golly it was well done in about ten minutes... No kiddin. It was 130 in the shade that day, first time I ever drank beer, MMMMMmmmmmmm good cold beer. frosty mugg yepp I liked it lol... Been singin I like beer ever since.
Once down it Texas, Pecan Park to be ezack, corner 620 and 183, yepp still there no house tho. I was mowing the grass in the back yard. It was a saturday cause grandma and grandpa were gone shoppin. I took a break and to some cold water outta the refrig...YOU DON'T DO THIS WHEN GRANDMA AT HOME.. but the cats a way so... I looked out the front picture window and it was raining like all get out, so I ran back out back to put up the mower so to make sure it didnt get too wet. It wasn't rainin in the back yard, I looked up an yepp the rain you could see it. It was moving slow towards the south, so back yard didn't get watered, and grandma was mad cause she thougth I waisted water on the front lawn, gee sometimes you couldn't win for loosing with this woman lol... but the rain thing was kinda neat lol.... least I thought it was. That was back inthe 60's just after some big hurricane hit Houston and the weather was like messed up for a while there... lots of rain, even rained minnows in our yard that years. what a mess I had to pick all them little buggers up. Well gee, guess I waisted a lot of you good folks time, Well we had a lot of fun as kids hot wireing the old ford tactor and racing up and down the road. dang wonder we didn't get hurt lol... neighbor kid had a three speed ford, and we had a four speed lol, I'd start out in four and beat him every time lol...
Well if we weren't ridin the tractor we was chasin chickens, sometime the geese would chase us, had an old rooster that had the John Wayne attitude, he didn't take no chit off us kids. Nope not a all, ever had a banny rooster come at ya, that little pecker wood was mean, well least till I put him in the freezer lol... tough old bird he was...We had chickens and ducks a couple turkeys some geese, regular little farm lol, even raised a garden, hated pullin weeds from them beans, and the blister bugs were bad, that's some kind of beatle that if you smash it on your skin will blister up something fearus, I know cause i smash one on my shoulder, ewwwweeee yuck smelled bad too big old blister about the size of a dinner plate, then well geesh, not fun...
did you know if ins you have animules you agonna have varmitts too... snakes and ring tales couple skunks and a possum three raccoons, hate reachin into a nest and there be a chicken snake in there, once i found one in the nest, by time I got to the house I realised I was still holding the snake lol... tossed it down in the livin room and made like a tree to leave. grandma was laughing so hard I stopped and soon we was all laughing the poor snake couldn't even move all those eggs lol... well some times life throws you something to laugh at. Some time you need to run lol... guess I oughtta run along myself and fix supper.
