You know it's a shame there aren't any lobbyest for the disable. I really despise people that look at a person and judge them as con artist because they can't work and earn gainful employment because of a disability when maybe someone else is able. It's like judging an entire group by the actions of one. One of our friends wrote that a counselor ask that when applying of a job not to admit to a disability. Who's gonna take the fall if you follow that kind of instructions and someone decides to investigate? I notice that on most all the applications I fill out and sign there is a warning stating fines and imprisionment for false information. i truly can't advise trusting a state or county case worker to admit they told you not to list a disability. I too want to know Where is the AMERICAN DISABILITY ACT, who monitors our rights and protects us as AMERICAN CITIZENS? One example I wrote the CIVIL LIBERTIES UNION years ago about my constitutional rights being VIOLATED. I was informed they had more important things to cover and to hire an attorney. I am sorry, I tend to get all bent when i thing AMERICAN CITIZENS ARE BEING DENIED. I will say this if you follow a case workers advice GET IT IN WRITTING YOU WERE TOLD TO DO WHATEVER ... I do know that some people that don't know how life is think those of us on ssi and welfare have it made. My own daughter once said I had it good all that free money. FREE? enuff said
